Antarctica is a landmass that is basically an ice sheet. It comprises about 10 percent of the land area of the entire earth. It is as large as Canada and United States put together. The shape on profile is a large dome and it is so tall that it has the highest elevation compared to all the other continents. Under all this are landscapes and mountain ranges. The ice can be as thick as 13, 000 feet!
