The Sugar Bowl was formed by a bunch of men from each civic club. The first president of the Sugar Bowl was Mr. Warren V. Miller. Mr. Miller called it the Sugar Bowl because Louisiana is known for sugarcane. Before the Super Dome was built they played at Tulane Stadium. The fist Sugar Bowl was played on New Years Day 1935!
