The Beatles
The Beatles were and still are a very popular band. The group was made up of four men.
John Lennon was born in Liverpool England, on October 9, 1940. John Lennon married his first wife, Linda Powell, in 1962 and they had a son, Julian. Yoko Ono, a Japanese singer, entered his life in 1968 ending his first marriage. He married Yoko in 1969 and they had a son named Sean. Mark David Chapman murdered John Lennon for no obvious reason in 1980. Mr. Chapman had just gotten Lennon’s autogragh a couple of hours before John was shot five times. John Lennon was forty years old when he died.
Paul McCartney was born in Liverpool England, on June 18, 1942. Paul married Linda Eastman and they had three daughters and one son. Paul along with John were the lead vocialist for the group. Paul was knighted in England. McCartney left the Beatles in May of 1970.
Ringo Starr, whose real name is Richard Starkey, was born in Liverpool England, on July 7, 1940. Ringo left the Beatles and became a film director. When he stopped directing films, he made up his own band named All-Starr Band. He is the vocalist in his band.
George Harrison was born in Liverpool England on February 25,1943. After George left the Beatles, he started touring in 1974. He married his first wife, Patti Boyd, in 1967, he divorced her and married his second wife Olivia Harrison.
The Beatles were very fascinating people. I enjoyed learning about the Beatles. I also like to listen to their music.
