Haydn became friends with Mozart in about 1785. They were both very inspired by each other’s music. Haydn also became friends with Beethoven . Beethoven learned from Haydn’s music and used it in his. Haydn wrote one symphony in particular called the Surprise Symphony. He found that some of the members in his audience would fall asleep during the concert, so in his symphony he added a very loud wakeup chord. Haydn summed up his life in three words, "I lived, I wrote, I spoke". Along with Haydn, there was another composer who made a big difference in music history.
