World War II: Battles & Heroes
Our site takes you back to the 1940s when the world was engulfed in possibly the worst war in history, World War II. The German leader, Adolf Hitler, was aiming toward world domination. The Allies, under Dwight Eisenhower, consisted of countries such as Great Britain, France, Russia, and the United States. These countries united to take on Hitler's Nazi army, Italy, and Japan.
We would like to recognize some of America's famous leaders and veterans who risked their lives for our country and also discuss the major battles of World War II. We encourage you to honor a special veteran in your life by submitting information to use on our web-site.
