The skateboard has come a long way from just a two-by four with wheels. Now it is a flashy ,hip,and fun x-games event.No one in particular made the skateboard. But there are some skateboard legends like Tony Hawk, Chad Muska. The early 70's was a "down hill riding age for the skateboard." In 1979 was when they first introduced the first street skateboard. The reason was because skateboards were being outlawed. They closed down skateboard parks, the original skateboards woudn't work. They also started using pools to skate in. That's were the vert came from.
