The average squid size is 6 to 13 meters. The largest squid seen was 18 meters (59.5ft.) that's HUGE! The scientific name for a squid is Architeus duxin. There are many squids in the sea some of the biggest squids are obvious because of there name the giant squid, they can obtain great size. The squid is the prey of the sperm Whale. And also they mammal none as human or people! Squid is very popular seafood to many countries across the world. So if you see one while diving it will be O.K., just don't get to close, and if you do you might get inked!
