Ammonia

A German scientist, Dr. Fritz Haber, discovered ammonia. Dr. Haber discovered that when you combine hydrogen and nitrogen,a new substance called Ammonia was created. When Ammonia evaporates, it sucks up all the heat around it. That is why it makes an excellent refrigerant. Ammonia is a unique compound because of the way it dissolves in water. An entire quart of water will dissolve only 1.5 cubic inches of nitrogen or hydrogen. That same quart of water, however, will dissolve 60,000 cubic inches of ammonia.
