The code of rules is to govern the playing of professional baseball. Money fines, long term suspensions, and similar penalties put on by the code are for officers and umpires, not practicable by amateur groups, governing the playing of the game. Baseball has not only become the National Game of the United States, but also International. Its popularity will increase as long as everyone respects the Code of Rules.
