Animorphs

    When I read one of the books in this series, it is for a light, entertaining read. They are not fine examples of great writing and they are not very difficult. I have an eleventh grade reading level and I can usually finish one in an hour or two. Even though they aren’t exactly material for classics, they are inventive, suspenseful, and can at times be very funny. They are about four kids who are given the power to turn into any animal they touch by a dying alien in a battle against evil creatures with the power to take over human minds. There is very little violence in these books and to my knowledge there is no profanity or sexual situations. Good, entertaining books, but not great literature.
