| The tasmanian devil eats mainly
rotting meat and little animals. They will not eat any animals larger than
themselves. A male devil can weigh up to 8 kilograms and gets up to 90 centimeters
long. The female is about 80 centimeters long and weighs up to 6 kilograms. |
Tasmanian devils live by
themselves and ther're very shy. This nocturnal animal lives in an enclosed place
such as a hollow log. They have a extreemly powerful jaw and very sharp teeth.
Like all marsupials, the female has a pouch. The devils breed in March and
April. During the season of mating, the female will stay at the male's den. Up
to four babies are born undeveloped. |
