Some are Crested Parrot, and Weero. They live in dry grasslands. They are
found in large groups, and they eat grass, fruit, and berries. They mimick human
voises and other sounds. They start breeding season in August and it ends in late
September. They make their nests in tree hollows. |

The crested hawk is also known as
the Pacific Baza and is very common throughout eastern Australia but is rarely noticed.
It feeds mostly on insects (very rare for a bird of prey.) They live in the
treetops of eucalypt and rainforests. The male and female share the responsibility
of nest building and incubation.2-3 eggs will hatch in a one month period. |

The Cape Barren Goose is a
handsome bird the same size as a domestic goose. It is a pale grey color with
black markings. It grazes on spear grass, barley, and clover. They live on
small offshore islands in Australia and they go to the mainlands in the summer in search
of food. |

The Burdekin Radjah's population
has dropped because of shooting and reclamation of wetlands. Their home land
is the eastern point of the Gulf Of Carpentaria. They feed on mollusks, very large
insects, sedges, and algae. Mating is from April to June with seven to twelve eggs
being laid. Their nests are in a tree hollow. The eggs are incubated by the mother
and they hatch after 30 days. They live in mudflats and swamps of coastal northern
Australia. |
