Parts of the Coconut Tree

In the picture shows the trunk of the coconut tree. The old bark-like material on the bottom was used for clothing and wrapping food.

 

In this picture it shows the coconut when it first starts to grow.

 

On the right side of this picture shows the coconut fruit when it is young and on the left side of this picture it shows the coconut fruit when it is old.

This picture shows the coconut fruit after it is husked. On the left side of this picture it shows the husk and in the bottom right corner shows the shell of the coconut. Notice how the husk is more than twice the size of the nut. The husk provides a good form of protection.
