In the Viking civilazation it was normal to have household of 20 to 30 people. The families had grandparents, parents, kids, and wifes of kids. Families ofter got in war with other families. The men would fight and the women would give medicine and help out the wounded warriors. In the Viking culture the women had rights. They could take charge of the house, go to town meetings, own property, and can get a divorce. Though, if the women were bad they could be sold. Viking families often liked to fine clothes. Men wore pants with wool shirts covered by knee high tunics. They wore leather belts and sheepskin hoods. Women wore tunics and a belt. They wore wool caps and bracelets. Men and women wore their hair long hair. The men also took great pride in there mustaches and beards. If you call a man beardless than you can be put to death. Because the Vikings had no school men were tought to hunt and fish. The women learned how to weave and sew.
