Jobs back then weren't paying jobs. People got paid by food since money wasn't invented until later on. Mostly the women worked in the fields and making their clothes. What they would do in the fields by the Nile, was take the stuff that was fully grown, pick it, and then plant new plants.

Ancient Egyptian men were mostly guards for the Pharoahs. What they did is protect the pharoahs of course, but also deal with the slaves. If men weren't working for themselves, they were slaves.
