Student  Inventions
En-Flavolope
Mess No More Party Plate
Blow-n-Go
In our school we held an Invention Convention. We had about 60 kids enter their inventions. We had sixth graders and seventh graders competing in their own grade level and some of the student inventors worked with partners. The inventions were judged by our principal, Mrs. Higgins, and Award Winning Science teacher named Mrs. Knight.

"It was a very difficult job trying to select 3 winning entries.  They were all so imaginative and unique. Congratulations to all of the contestants."  G. Knight

First place went to the unique "En-Flavolope".  Stephanie came up with an idea to make envelopes  taste better so whenever you would lick them you wouldn't have that nasty taste to them.
Second place went to the " Mess No More Party Plates". Erin's idea came from her experiences with messy, icky picnics.  And the constant battle of keeping your "stuff" together on a windy day. Now, there won't be a mess  because she attached her plate and bowl together along with string holding her silverware and napkin.  She even did a product analysis.
Third place went to the " Blow-n- Go".  Brooke's problem was to create a convenient way to free your hands while drying your hair. Her invention attached a blow dryer to the wall. This was done so you could brush your teeth and dry your hair at the same time.
Many schools have participated in Invention Conventions.  Our experience has been that the students love them and are excited about their inventions. They were very proud of their projects and are eager to share them at the Invention Convention event.
