Edge Writing Contest
If you can't find a writing contest
to suit your needs, or if you want to just enter one, then you've come
to the right place. Every month, you can send your original work
to the Competitive Edge and we will post some of best the entries on our
site. A new topic will be listed here periodically. The topics may vary.
It could be a mystery, it could be a writing prompt, or even a picture.
If the prompt was: "Fantasy Stories for Kids," you might send a story called
"Unicorn Valley" or "The Flight of a Dragon" . You may send one story
per month.
This Month's Topic:
If you could be changed
into any animal, what animal would you want to be?
Tips:
Why would you want to be it? Explain what
the animal eats, how long and what time it sleeps, what it looks like,
it's physical abilities, and any interesting facts. Include where it can
be found and if it is endangered. If you want, you can take it a step farther
and write down what you think it would feel like and what you would think
of everything.
Be descriptive
and pay attention to detail. When you are done, email it to edge@lingle.nwsc.k12.ar.us
with "Writing Contests" in
the subject line.
