Competitive Edge TEAM: 
Hi, I'm Drew. I really love sports, but
my favorite is baseball. I play the trombone at school and am currently
in first chair. Thinkquest Junior has been really fun to work on.
I learned a lot from my teammates and my coaches. On our site, I
worked on the "Quizzing Competition" pages. This is because I have
been on a Quiz Bowl team for three years straight. I love it!
Quiz type competitions are for people who have a good memory and have taken
in lots of knowledge about a variety of topics. I have learned so
much from being on this team that I am going to design a website for my
baseball team, the Rockies. This is because of a request from a team
parent. They realized just how much we learned from this project.
All I have to say is that TQ Jr. ROCKS!
Hi, I'm Evan. I had a terrific time
working on this project. I love anything that has to do with computers.
I wrote the "Creative Problem Solving Contest" part of this project.
It was really neat because I could include my all time favorite competition;
Odyssey of the Mind. My team this year placed 2nd at our Regional
Competition and we're headed to perform at State this Spring. Wish
us luck! If I'm not using the computer you'll find me playing
soccer. I'm on a Classic Team called the F.C. United's. I love
to play soccer and if I'm not playing soccer you'll find me hanging out
with my friends or my 3 large dogs.
Hello, my name is Kendal. I like to
play my flute, play video games, read, write music and stories, and have
fun with nature. I created the "Writing Contests" part of this site.
My English teacher says that I have a knack with writing. I am a big dreamer
and always aim my goals as high as I can. I have a Black Belt in
Taekwondo and I love to tell about the 2 1/2 years it took me to get it.
Would you believe it or not, I got it on my tenth birthday! I love
to make websites and I have a few websites besides this one. I have
six cats, a dog, and even seven ducks! Like I said earlier, I love nature.
Well, I need to get going. If you need me, you can find me curled
up in my room with a good long book!
Hi, my name is Kevin. I enjoy drawing,
designing, engineering, and figuring things out. I have a tendency
to try and figure things out by myself, even if there is an instruction
manual right beside me. I live in Arkansas. I participated
in ThinkQuest Jr. 1999 and in this one. I do lots of computer work
for a few of my teachers. I also like to prove my teachers wrong
now and then, especially my Computer Literacy teacher. ( My Gifted
and Talented teacher says I have a GREAT sense of humor.) I really
enjoy just playing on a computer, and learning new things. Lots of
people think I know it all. Of course not! I still have so
much that I could learn. I worked on the "NASA Scenario's" pages.
I had lots of fun making this site, and hope want to participate in Thinkquest
in the future.
Hi, my name is Kory and I'll be 12 by the
time you read this. I live in Arkansas and love to play soccer and
basketball. In fact my basketball team placed first in our league.
I worked on the "Invention Convention" pages. I spent a great deal
of time working on the Thinkquest Junior project. I even convinced
my coach to let me come up and work on it during Spring Break. It was awesome
and I would have done it everyday if she would have let me. I really
enjoyed working on this project.
Hello, my name is Lacey. I enjoy playing
soccer and love to swim. I am in several Competitive Edge projects.
My favorite is Odyssey of the Mind. I like being different from the
rest of my class. I enjoy wearing "weird" socks and always match.
I had a great time doing this project. I was in charge of the
"Interest Inventory" sections of our site. This told you what projects
would be right for you. I even wrote a story about how to recognize
your own style of learning. Check it out!
