Multiple Intelligences 
Harvard Psychologist, Howard Gardner has studied intelligence for a long time.  He finally decided that there are eight different kinds of intelligence.  Referring to them as the "Multiple Intelligences" he defined them as:
1. Interpersonal The ability to understand and interact with others. diplomats, political and religious leaders, teachers
2. Intrapersonal The ability to reflect. The choice to work independently. psychologists, counselors
3. Logical-Mathmatical The ability to work through patterns and abstractions.  mathematicians, scientists, logicians, detectives
4 Spatial Reasoning The ability reason logically and see problem solve strategically.  Chess players, architects, map makers
5. Verbal-Linguistic The ability to use language as an expression of communication. authors, journalists, public speakers
6. Bodily-Kinesthetic  The ability to be physically coordinated. athletes, surgeons, inventors
7. Musical The ability to create music and rhythms composers, performers, musicians
8. Naturalist The ability to observe interpret, and construct meaning from the natural world. Outdoor guides/interpreters
