We want to introduce you to some famous people, and a

little about how they advanced space exploration. Isaac
Newton, an astronomer, discovered the laws of motion and
gravity. Galileo, another astronomer, found out that the
sun is the center of the universe. Neil Armstrong made
the first step on the moon. Sally Ride was the first
American woman astronaut. Shannon Lucid spent time on
the Mir Space Station. The Russians laid a lot of
