The red kanggaroo lives in the grassy plain areas of inland Australia.
Their head/body length is 65 inches with a tail that is 42 inches long
that is like a rudder; their weight is can get up to 198 pounds. The
red kangaroo will continue to grow throughout it's life. Their coloration
of the males is reddish, the females color is blue-gray.Their rear legs
are extremely long , but they have short front legs. They are able to
leap as much as 29 feet in distance and up to 6 or more feet in height
but will avoid leaping over fences as low as 5 feet.they are able to
attain speeds of up to 35 mph for short distances. However, they can
sustain a speed of 12 mph for hours.
