lived in the 8th and 9th century. The Vikings
were great seamen and warriors who lived in
Denmark, Sweden, and Norway since the
ancient times. A Viking raid usually came up as a
surprise. The Vikings were very good at
navigating. They knew the coasts of Europe like
counting to ten. When the Vikings would find a
target, they would plan it, and then they would
do it. The Vikings were the international
tradesmen of their time. They traded silk and
spices for slaves.Vikings were good at building
ships. The ships were lightweghted and had
flexible vessels. Finally the Viking raids stopped
around the year 1000.
