

A cobra can grow up to 18 feet. It does not weigh very much. It has very smooth, shiny skin. The pattern on its skin is usually different colors in different patterns. Its colors are yellow, brown, and black.
The cobra lives in Asia, China, India, and Africa. It makes its burrow in jungles, up in trees, under fallen trees, or in the ground. They are also found in the water.
The cobra eats rats, mice, frogs, birds, and eggs from other species. The cobra also eats other types of snakes.
Cobras have venom glands that shoot out venom. A cobra also has razor sharp teeth to attack predators. A king cobra can raise its head and fan their neck to shoot out venom.
Their nests are made of grass and leaves. A female cobra will lay 8-30 eggs. The female cobra will protect the eggs until hatched. When the cobra is hatched it is 10-12 inches long.
