Budgies

        Habitat

The Budgies live in a very hot (40 degrees C) and dry climate. They lead a nomadic livestyle, going from place to place.

        Daily Life

Budgies eat wild seeds and millet. The male finds the nests and the female lays the eggs in it. The females lay their eggs during times of heavy rainfall. They don't build nests, but instead use holes in trees or burrow in tree roots. The male budgie feeds the female and the female feeds the chicks. The chicks stay in their nest for a month. Snakes sometimes go into the nest and eat the young chicks.

        Language

Budgies use a variety of sounds to communicate. They chirp tweet, warble, squack, and even talk (they mimic human languages).

        Appearance

Budgies are very beautiful animals. Their bodies are shaped like a bowling pin. They are mainly blue and green, but they sometimes are yellow.
