HEIDI'S HOME

        (HEIDI THE DACHSHUND)

Brrrrrrrrck! Hi ya! My name's Heidi the Dauchsund. I'm so happy that you decided to visit me at home. I'm going to brief you on dachshunds so you won't be sitting in front of your computer screen having no idea what-so-ever about what I'm talking about. Dachshunds are a type of hound dog that are originally from Germany. Now they live all over the world, though. We come in all different colors: brown, black, red, tan, etc. My briefing is over. Oh, by the way...I won't be the only one you'll be talking to, Erin (my owner) will also be you're internet buddy on this page. Throughout this web site, you'll be hearing from both of us because we share the page...it's both of ours.

Now I'm going to tell you about my life. I'm a miniature brown-red dachshund and I live in Virginia. My family is very nice. It consists of five people (including Erin), two fish, and one... other dachshund- Max. He's really annoying -- puppies always are... Okay, well I'm seven years old and I hate to say it, but I have a little bit of grey hair. You won't love me any less, right? The reason I don't have any grey hair in that picture is because that was when I was three. I'm finished telling you about myself.

(Erin wants to speak now- I got to go...BYE!)
Heidi talks WAY too much! Good thing she's not a VERY stubborn doggy, though! Well, anyway- I'll continue with my page!

        Erin's Introduction

Dachshunds are so adorable!!!! If I had to give an award for cutest dog, I would give it to dachshunds -- not poodles, not cocker spaniels, not even golden retreivers! Dauchshunds are definitely the cutest dogs in the whole wide world. I think that it's the long bodys, long noses, and floppy ears that get me, or it could that there so...so...human-like. That's why I have one named Heidi (but I guess you already know that!) and we're best friends! Heidi and I hope that you love this page! We worked really hard on it, even if you can't see that already! I'm sure you can though! Okay, I hate to make people bored, so I'll close out my introduction in just a second. I just need to tell you that you'll be hearing both of us gab on here -- the page is half mine-half hers!!

        Dachshunds- Before And After

Before now, dachsunds were used to seek badgers out of their little holes in the ground. It was a simple job, they just slithered down into the ground...then out they came with the badger. So, they were considered hunting dogs ( yeah...I know what you're thinking- dachshunds, hunting dogs- whatever)! I really can't imagine dachshunds actually "hunting" any type of animal. They just don't fit the mean, dirty, evil, murdering role. You know? It just doesn't fit. Okay, well...an up side of their past is that they were a favorite dog in Germany! Now, that I can believe!

That was long ago- now these oh-so-cute dogs are happily living in their homes all around the world! Living in luxury like all of us people wish we could do! You know, getting waited on hand and foot, all that junk!
