Behavior and Habitat

"I'm not scared of you? Am I spinning?"

A clown fish is known to spin when a diver gets near. This is a signal to back away.

The clown fish also always lives in pairs. The mother and father stay together. When a Clown fish lays its eggs, it lays them on a rock close to the anemone's bottom. Also, when eggs are laid, the parents wash them every 9 to 10 days.

Clown fish live in the Australian reefs near anenomes. The anenome protects the Clown fish in exchange for food (called symbiosis).
