Trilobites

One type of prehistoric invertebrate is a trilobite. They are multi-legged shellfish. They lived in the sea nearly 450 million years ago with sea scorpions, ammonites, and many more strange creatures! Their fossils are more common because they had hard shells. They are also the ancestors of crabs.

There were many kinds of trilobites. One example is Phacops Corconspectans, a fairly long trilobite. On the other hand, Zacanthoieds Typicalis is a small trilobite that lived during the Cambrian Period. Another small trilobite is Brachyaspiden Microps.
