Invertebrates are animals without backbones such as insects and sharks. These animals live in present day but they also lived millions of years ago. Invertebrate fossils are kind of unusual in sight and name! Names like Stegosaurus we all know, but some people may not know the names of Serplua or Eocicada! They are an unknown species even to some fossil lovers! The probable cause of this is that they are hard to dig up! Even vertebrate fossils don't just pop up out of the ground now, do they?!
