ABOUT US
We are a group of students from Sherwood Elementary School in Highland Park, IL. Our team members are Adam, Ilana, Kevin, Jessica, Chris, and Tyler. We made this website for Thinkquest Junior which is a contest for fourth through sixth graders to design educational websites.
In our site, Propelled by Pedals, you can learn about many things including: how to choose a bike, facts about six different bikes, famous cyclists, nutrition, history, safety, laws, accessories, how bikes work, trails you can find, and stunts and tricks.
We decided to do a website on bicycles because it is an interesting topic and we like bikes!
We went on field trips to bike shops, Higher Gear and Deerfield Cyclery, stayed after school and even worked on weekends, holidays and spring break.
We have a quiz, crossword puzzle, a maze, and other fun things to do.We also used HomePage, Fireworks, and PhotoDeluxe to help us make the site. We used the electronic camera to take pictures of bikes and ourselves. Everyone on our team used AppleWorks to do our writing.
