Hatshepsut reigned for 22 years, in which there was peace and prosperity, Egypt also had some of it's best monuments thanks to her. She took over when her husband died and her son was too young to rule. But even when he was old enough to rule, she kept on ruling Egypt until she died. Her son, Thutmose III hated her greatly for keeping him from his throne for so long.
