How does a satellite get into orbit? A satellite gets in orbit by a rocket.   It is put in the top of the rocket. When the rocket is launched it starts out going straight up. The rocket wants to continue straight up but the earth's gravity forces it to curve but it is going so fast earth's gravity is not enough to bring it down but enough to make it curve around the earth.  In a few minutes all of the rocket’s fuel is gone. It then starts to fall, and the satellite is pushed out of the rocket at such a high speed, it is now in orbit. To learn about what a satellite is made of click on the link below.
