Acid Rain

When fossil fuels are burned they let out SO2, sulfur dioxide, and NOx, nitrogen dioxide.  They react with water vapor and make kinds of acids.  The acids attach to particles that are in the air, and fall as rain, snow, or hail.  Acid precipitation is caused by nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide.
