The Middle Intertidal Zone
The middle intertidal zone is the most active intertidal zone of them all because it is fully covered and uncovered each day. As the middle intertidal zone is covered and uncovered, the high and the low intertidal zones are not covered and uncovered each day. The middle intertidal zone is 50% underwater. Some of the animals that live in this zone eat tiny particles of food from the tidewater.
