Andrea

Hi! My name is Andrea and I'm a fourth grade student at Canyon View Elementary School. I am nine years old and am excited to be part of the ThinkQuest Junior competition. I like dancing, reading, playing handball and art. My favorite subject in school is math. I am glad that I am not attending school in the 1900s or any other time except the present. I think we are lucky to have technology and the internet to help us study and get information. There is a lot of information out there! When I grow up, I would like to be a lawyer or a scientist. I hope you enjoy our Website and learn a lot from it!

My name is Beth. I am in the fourth grade at Canyon View School. I like to listen to music and dance. My favorite is Britney Spears. If would like to check her out, go to www.britneyspears.com. I have a puppy named Hershey. She is chocolate lab mix and is very funny. She comes in whenever we open the door. I joined ThinkQuest because I was wondering how it would be to make a web site that people in public will look at. Also, I was thinking how I will feel if our web site won and how rich I will be! My friends are Sarah (who is in ThinkQuest, too, but is making another web site) and the kids in both ThinkQuest groups. There's so much more you don't want me to tell you!

Corinna

Hello to all our web site visitors! My name is Corinna and I'm 9 years old. I go to Canyon View Elementary School and I'm in the 4th grade. My teacher is Mrs. Martin. Some of my favorite things to do in my spare time are listening to music, playing with my friends, going swimming, reading and playing handball. After school, I do activities such as Girl Scouts, gymnastics, jazz dance, chess club and THINK QUEST. Actually, our Think Quest meetings are at 7:45 in the MORNING before school! I live with my mom, dad, 12-year old brother, Andrew, and my pet kitty, Zeus. Redheads run in my family ! We all have red hair (except for Zeus, of course. He's black- haired with some grey tips). My family loves to travel, go skiing and have fun!

When I joined Think Quest I thought it was going to be easy and we were probably going to win, but now I do it for the fun and I know there are millions of other people trying just as hard as I am. I have learned many more tricks on the computer and have also learned how to work as a team with my other team mates. This is a great project and I love designing each page, making links and figuring out what to write. I enjoy working as a team and even if I don't win, I had fun working together to put the page together and learning much more!

Hello! My name is Lauren and I'm nine years old. I go to Canyon View Elementary School and I'm in 4th grade. My teacher is Mrs. Martin. Some of my favorite things to do in my spare time are softball, basketball, handball, playing with my friends and making lanyards. After school I play softball, basketball and I go to Girl Scouts once a month. I live with my mom, my dad, my seven-year-old sister Sarah and my dog, Mr. Mellow. My family loves sports!

When I joined ThinkQuest I thought it was going to be a lot of fun, and I thought it was going to be easy. I was right, but I was wrong. It is fun, but it isn't that easy and it takes a lot of hard work. I'm learning a lot about the computer during ThinkQuest. I have fun and if we don't win it's okay because it was fun and I learned a lot.

Rebecca

My name is Rebecca. I'm nine years old. When I was first asked to be on Think Quest, I thought, "This is going to easy, we'll win first place!" I soon found out it wasn't going to be easy and we might not get a place in winning at all. Also, I've learned a lot from Think Quest. Some of those things have been creating a web page, learning that you have to work for almost everything, and that you need to concentrate to get any work done. I also know my group won't always pick my ideas because others are just as good.

I love playing soccer and piano. Also, I love animals, like almost anyone else, and have three cats and a dog. I collect glass animals and squashed pennies. Art is a hobby of mine. My dad consults me whenever he needs an opinion on color. When other people say the clouds are gray, I usually say they are light purple. This isn't always a good thing. Sometimes I get teased when I say I see a different color than anyone else. Usually I don't let those things get to me, but it still isn't fun. Always do your best and you probably won't be teased. If you are, tell yourself you did your best and everybody is different!

Hi! My name is Salomeya. I am 9 years old, and I go to Canyon View Elementary School. I am a fourth grader in Mrs. Martin's class. I enjoy playing piano, hanging out with my friends, reading, and surfing the web. I have a fourteen-year old sister named Sonya. I also have a pet gold fish. I go to ballet. I also have art and piano classes. I wanted to be in Think Quest to learn how to make a website, and to share what I learn about elementary schools through the ages. I also joined Think Quest so I could have fun while learning to use the Internet! Making a website increased my interest in the Internet and in computers. I am glad I joined because I learned how to work with people in a group.
