Dear Students, I am an Art teacher with the Van Buren Public Schools. I teach grades K-5. I am absolutely enthralled with your website. It has everything I need to teach about Van Gogh and Impressionism to my classes. The 4th grade is planning a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts to see the Van Gogh exhibit. Thanks to you I have everything I need to prepare them for this outing. I am so impressed(no pun intended)! Kudos!

I was so impressed by all of the knowledge you have about these artists, and it was written in such an interesting way. I especially liked the noted similarities and contrasts between the different artist's work. My favorite paintings were Starry Night and The Potato Eaters by Van Gogh. Thank you for bringing all your hard work to the public!

Thank you for your delightful introduction to Post-Impressionist painters. I recently read a book about the life of Bertha Morisette, another Impressionist painter, which I enjoyed very much.
Your website is very colorful, informative and easy to read. It is a job well done. Thanks again.

Hi, I really like your site, but I was wondering how you got permission to use all these famous works of art? I would like to use some of these types of images in my webpage.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHORS: We emailed the people who run websites that legally display the pictures we wanted to put in our website. We let them know that we would be using the pictures to create an educational website for fourth through sixth graders on Van Gogh, Lautrec, and Gauguin that would be entered in the ThinkQuest Jr. website design competition. The people who ran the websites emailed us back with permission to use their pictures on our website for educational purposes. They asked us to include information on where we got each picture, and some of them had other requirements that we followed.

This is a great website. Too bad you guys didn't win anything. Personaly, I think you should have, so maybe you could try again next year. If you do, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hope you guys decide to so I can see how you improved it and what new things you added to it. My family and I hope to see yours next year on the finalist list. By the way, I like how you guys got the real pictures. These made a big improvement. Just to let you know, I am a big fan of Van Gogh, Lautrec, and Gauguin, and I am also a huge huge huge fan of your website. Even though you guys are just in 6th grade, you did an excellent job.
