Do you always try to make a good first impression? Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Vincent Van Gogh made Impressionism a living.  Not the Impressionism you may be thinking of, but an art style called Post-Impressionism, and our website will teach you all about it.

First, visit Impressionism and Post-Impressionism to learn what it means to be a Post-Impressionist artist.

In the Meet the Artists section, you can learn about the exciting lives of three Post-Impressionist artists, Gauguin, Lautrec, and Van Gogh.  You can also learn about some of their most famous paintings.

To teach you more about each artist’s techniques, we chose some paintings from the three different artists to compare and contrast.  Our Paintings section will help you learn about each artist's techniques and styles and how they compare to those of other Post-Impressionists.

In Styles They Inspired, you will learn about Expressionism, Fauvism, and Art Nouveau, three other art forms that branched off of Post-Impressionism and were inspired by these three artists.

In the Games section, you will find a word search on each artist and a word scramble puzzle.  Plus you can test what you have learned about Gauguin, Lautrec, Van Gogh, and their art with our interactive online quiz!
