On these pages, you will learn about the artists, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Vincent Van Gogh. All of these artists were in some way insane. Van Gogh licked his oil paint brushes clean and cut off part of his ear. Lautrec saw people as deformed like himself. Two accidents Lautrec experienced as a youth stunted his grown. Gauguin saw things as odd colors. He painted blue trees, red grass, and himself as Christ and the devil. You will also learn about how these artists broke away from Impressionism and became Post-Impressionists. Click on the artist links in the navigation window to learn more about these fascinating artists and their art.
