Stained-glass
By Sarah
People do not know when the first stained-glass windows were made. They think that the technique came from jewelry making. The stained-glass that we know of now seemed to come up when substantial church building began. By the tenth century, pictures of Christ and Biblical figures were found in French and German churches and decorative designs in England.
There is a mystery to glass. It is a form of a bunch of things with gas, liquid and solid slate properties.
Glass is a lot like a super cooled liquid. It catches light and glows. It is like a jewel made from the most ordinary materials: sand transformed by fire.
Before recorded history, people learned to make glass and add color to it by adding metallic salts and oxides. These minerals in the glass catch specific portions from the sights of white light
allowing the human eyes to see many colors.Gold produces a stunning cranberry. Cobalt makes blues. Silver creates yellow and golds. And copper make greens and brick red.

"There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, bet there are others who thanks to their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun."
