Hey, you kids out there surfing the web, if you want to learn about bones you came to the right site. Did you know that you have 206 bones in your body and each one has its very own special purpose.  If you didn't have bones you would be a big glob of mock.  These are some of the reasons why we have bones: to support us, help us move, and to protect your body's inner parts. Your body is made out of two main structures, the axiel  and appendicular.  The axiel is made up of the skull bones, spine, ribs, and sternum. The appendicular skeleton has all of the bones left over your shoulders, arms, hands ,hips, legs, feet, and  the toe bones. The axiel part of the skeleton has 80 bones, and the appendicular has 126 bones. Did you know that babies are born with 270 soft bones?  That is 64 more bones then an adult!  Many  of these will come together into 206 hard, permanent bones.   So, in conclusion,  if you didn't have a skeleton you would be a big glob of mock!
