The Beetles of Madagascar

There are over 20,000 species of beetles in Madagascar. Weevils are the most common beetles in Madagascar.
The giraffe-necked weevil is one of the strangest looking beetles in Madagascar. Only the males have such long necks.
The longhorn beetle lives in the dry western forests.
Lithinus weevils look like small brushes.
The dung-roller beetle is one of the prettiest scarab beetles in the world. They can be seen rolling a ball of lemur dung along the forest floor.
The hissing cockroach may grow to 4 inches in length. They hiss loudly when touched.
