Frogs

The Pseudophryne corroboree is a yellow and black frog from south eastern Australia. These frogs are found in wet marsh lands and grassy areas. These frogs breed in sphagnum (this is a type grass) bogs.

The Notaden Bennettii is a green and black frog and has a round body. These frogs are found in plains and woodlands in eastern Australia. It burrows in under ground places.

The Rheobatrachus Silus is a water-based frog. These frogs are brownish green
with a yellowish white underbelly. They are nocturnal and are found in
Queensland.
Turtles

The Pseudemydura umbrina is Australia’s most endangered reptile. It
lives in ponds in western Australia. Its head is covered with a
protective shield.
The Carettochelys Insculpta turtles have fleshy a proboscis and large flippers
make this freshwater turtle stand out from the rest. They nest on sandbanks of
rivers. They are from northern Australia.
Lizards

Pogona
barbata has an excellent defense system. It likes trees and climbing so it
is considered semi-arboreal. It is commonly found in south-eastern
Australia. It is light brown with spikes all over its body.
The Varanus
brevicauda is a very large goanna that reaches 1.2 meters long. They
are found in arid places of north and west Australia. They are blackish yellow
and has a yellow throat.
The Varaus gouldii lives in arid
conditions. It grows to be 1.6 meters long. It is very common everywhere in the wetlands.
It is black with yellow
spots everywhere.
Snakes
The Fordonia leucobalia lives on the mud flats of eastern Cape York. It feeds on crabs and fishes. It also lives in mangroves.
