Penguins raise their children, and live in many different places. Most Penguins live in Antarctica. The Penguins that live in Antarctica live in cold ice caverns on snowy snowhills, and thick ice bergs. Penguins also live in South Africa, the Galapagos Islands, and even the islands of Australia. Penguins eat several kinds of things, but there are some foods they like more than others. Some foods are fish, shrimp, and krill. Penguins need to eat at least twice a day.
Baby penguins hatch from eggs. The parents make a nest out of very small rocks and mud. After a while the babies' old feathers get replaced with new feathers. The baby gets its food from the mom or dad chewing up food and letting the baby eat the food that is inside the parent's mouth.

Penguins are endandered animals. Most of the time it's because of the hunters wanting their feathers. Somethimes because seal lions eat them. One way to keep them alive is to not buy penguin feathers.
