"Hooptionary"

Backboard - The flat elevated surface of wood, metal, or glass on which the rim is mounted

Baseline - The line that is under the goal, to tell if someone or ball goes out or not.

Free Throw - You get to shoot a free throw shot when you are fouled. Usually you get two shots but if you make the shot and get fouled you only get one shot.

Jump shot - A jump shot is when you jump and shoot the ball from anywhere on the court.

Lay-up - When you shoot a right-handed lay-up you lift your right leg and hit the square on the backboard.

You do the same process with a left-handed lay-up only the opposite.

Net - The net is used on the hoop to slow down the ball’s fall.

Rim - A round metal ring that is mounted on the backboard to make a shot.

Three point shot - The three point shot must be shot behind the arch looking line.

Tip-off - A tip-off is when two players jump up in the middle of the court and try to hit the ball to their teammates.
