History of Bicycles
In my report about bicycles I will be talking about two different bicycles, so just hang on.
First I will talk to you about the walking machine. In the early 1800s a man by the name of Baron von Drais made the walking machine that would help him get around the royal gardens faster. The device was moved by pushing your feet against the ground and moving yourself forward. The walking machine became his working “horse”. The walking machine was all made of wood.
Now the second, the kids’ bike. Several companies like Sears Roebuck, Mead and Montgomery Ward first invented the kids’ bike just after World War I. These bikes have evolved into the most beautiful, fabulous, etc. bikes. AMAZING how some kids can do tricks in the air on these 65 lb. bikes. Can you?
