A string instrument is played by plucking a string (i.e. guitar) or rubbing one or more strings with a special bow, which is much like an archers, but the stick is straight and the string is different.  Some say a guy named Stradivarius made the best string instruments, and that was true to most people.  His instruments' designs are still used today
