Who?

Who discovered the money pit? Who was the "lucky one"? Well, 16 year old Daniel McGinnis discovered there was a money pit in 1795. He dug about 15 feet deep and then temporarily gave up. 3 years later he came back with two of his friends (their names are unknown) and set up a business for finding the buried treasure. Awww, a whole business for finding a little buried treasure! How cute! Wait a minute, let me say that once more. How cute!? A "little buried treasure?" I must be out of my mind! Seven people have lost their lives trying to find this totally valuable treasure, is that cute? I think not. You don't want to be the eight person if you know what I mean, right? I know I don't. Yet this is a very weird mystery, and I want to figure it out. I think this "little buried treasure" has gone just a little bit toooo far.
