The krewe is the people that throw the beads, cups, doubloons and some times stuffed animals.

The krewe is the Captain, officers, King(not Queen),Lieutenets and the members. The Royal court is not considered the krewe but, the king is. The Royal court is the King, Queen, Captain, pages, jokers and the Ladies in waiting and maids.

The krewe normally wears hats, masks, costumes to fit the theme of their float, dresses, formal gowns, suits and gloves.
