Floats

Floats are big. Floats are huge and they ride in the parades! Floats are made out of wooden platform, paper mache, a metallic fringe, electric lights, paint, nail bead hangers and some times moving figures.

Not only does the krewe ride on the floats but the King and pages, Queen and maids, the Captain and the Ladies in waiting and the Grand Marshall sometimes.

Some floats are small and some are huge. One float holds 200 people and an other one has 90 people. Most have around 15 to 20 riders. Most parades have around 27 to 30 and some have less. The Truck parade has a lot of trucks dresses up like floats but, they still throw beads.
