Major Volcanoes in Africa

Mount Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania, on the west coast of Africa below the equator. The mountain elevation is 19,340 ft. It has three active volcanoes, they are Kibo, Mawensi and Shira. There has been no recorded eruptions in our time.

Mount Cameroon is in Cameroon on the west coast of Africa above the equator. The mountain elevation is 13,353 ft. It’s first recorded eruption was in 1650. The most recent eruption was in 1982. The eruption in 1982 caused more than three hundred people to evacuate their homes.
