The Ring Of Fire

The Ring of Fire is a horseshoe shape belt that streches 25,000 miles over the Pacific Ocean.  It expands over New Zealand Northwest to the Philippines, North to Japan, East to Alaska, South to Oregon, California, Mexico and the Andes mountains of South America.  There is a lot of tectonic plate movements causing this region of the world to have many violent volcanoes and major earthquakes.

How to trace the Ring of Fire with your finger: Place your finger on the West coast of South America.  Move up to central America along the coast until you reach Alaska's tip.  Cross over to Asia over the Eurasian plate.  Follow down to the Pacific Ocean coast of China, Indonesia and Australia until you reach South of New Zealand.
